Project Summary

Planned Parenthood of New York City, Inc. seeks to build the organizational capacity of foster care programs to improve the sexual and reproductive health outcomes of foster care youth. Their proposed program, Capacity Building for Foster Care Organizations, is not an individual-level intervention, but a multi-level approach to train foster care professionals, create organizational policies and practices, and enhance the physical environment of foster care agencies with sexual health materials and messages. If successful, their program will build systemic environmental support for sexual and reproductive health within foster care organizations to reduce unintended pregnancy among the youth they serve.

The proposed program is a multi-level approach to training foster care professionals, creating organizational policies and practices, and enhancing the physical environment of foster care agencies with TPP and SRH materials and messages.
